Kea (Tzia) is a lovely island that still keeps its traditional charm. Tourism is not that developed and many Athenians have summer houses there to spend summer weekends. The port of Kea is Korissia and few kilometers inland, is the lovely village of Ioulida, capital of the island. Kea’s second port Boukari, is a small cosmopolitan port with many yachts and fishing boats. The inland of Kea is great for trekking. Trekkers will discover the beautiful landscape, ruins of old fortifications, old churches and abandoned houses. Most beaches in Kea island are unorganized and secluded, the most popular ones being Koundouros, Gialiskari and Korissia.
